Heartland International English School is a premiere ESL school for international students located in Winnipeg, Manitoba and Mississauga, Ontario. Founded in 1999, Heartland provides year-round intensive English language training and language proficiency testing.

The Heartland International Test Centre offers the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) at various locations around Winnipeg and Mississauga.

We are currently looking for qualified, dynamic TESOL professionals to join our Mississauga team of IELTS Speaking Examiners.

Duties & Responsibilities:

IELTS Examiners carry out in-person speaking tests for the General Training and the Academic IELTS exams. Examiners consistently uphold rigorous protocols and scoring criteria established during an intensive training program.

Examiner performance is monitored on a regular basis by an Examiner Trainer in accordance with IDP IELTS schedules and expectations.

IELTS speaking tests at Heartland Mississauga are held primarily on Saturdays.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are:

• An undergraduate or Master’s degree or a qualification which can be demonstrated to be equivalent to an undergraduate or Master’s degree
• A recognized qualification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) or a recognized equivalent (TESL, TEFL) as part of a recognized university award course
• A minimum of 3 years’ full-time (or the equivalent part-time) relevant TESOL teaching experience, at least one year of which must be post-certification teaching. The majority of the above teaching experience must relate to adult students (aged 16+ years)
• Suitable professional attributes and interpersonal skills
