Introduction to Avenue Learning Leadership

Introduction to Avenue Learning Leadership is an 8-week course that is mentored online through Avenue.ca. Participants in the course have self-identified as learning technology leaders — whether in the classroom or in administration — and the forum posts they share in the course reflect valuable lessons from their local language training programs. Through these interactions with a community of peers, participants learn more about the barriers, challenges and opportunities of learning technology innovation. Topics include an overview of the Avenue project, TELL and CALL, blended language teaching and learning, artificial intelligence, the Avenue Standards for Technology-enhanced language learning, leadership and innovation theories, navigating change, and reflecting on leadership. Successful completion of this course leads to the Advanced Avenue Learning Leadership course.
