BLOG ADMINISTRATION TEAM – Blog Manager

The TESL Ontario Blog is managed by a team of dedicated volunteers who do a tremendous job of delivering valuable, educational information to the TESL community and beyond.

The focus of the TESL Ontario blog has been on practical classroom techniques, teaching strategies, practical uses for technology in the classroom and in-class activities spanning all areas of language training in Ontario.

The TESL Ontario Blog averages over ninety thousand visits per month. A well-organized and self-motivated Blog Manager is required to continue this level of success.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides high quality editing for guest bloggers posts, and ensures in-house writing style standards are met
  • Schedules dates for posts, and deadlines for post submissions
  • Maintains contact with guest/occasional bloggers and provides feedback when necessary
  • Maintains records and provides accurate tracking processes
  • Uploads posts to blog platform and ensures regular, consistent posting schedules
  • Participates in team meetings as required
  • Problem solves and troubleshoots technology issues regarding posts
  • Participates in presentations and workshops with team or individually as coordinated with Blog Manager

Qualifications:

  • Current TESL Ontario member
  • Access to a computer with internet capabilities
  • Ability to work from home
  • Comfortable with technology
  • Ability to commit to a three-year term
  • Approximately 6 – 8 hours per month
